I am Yasemin Akcan Barto, an Assistant Teaching Professor at Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Delaware, with a focus on applied microeconomics, econometrics, household finance, and public economics. Before joining my PhD program, I earned my MS degree in Financial Econometrics from Texas A&M University and B.S degree in Econometrics from Gazi University.Â
My research interests are in Public Economics, Applied Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Household Finance with a focus on how public policies shape individual and household well-being. In my job market paper, I examine the impact of the Earned Income Tax Credit on subjective well-being to provide insights into one of the largest anti-poverty programs in the U.S.
